Gaz_1989 9,539
My brindle bitch is 3 in June and has only had one season at 14 months old. My pup is 1 in a fortnight and hasn't come in season yet. Hopefully I've dropped lucky. My old bitch was every 6 months like clockwork. Was a right pain in the arse.

gnipper 6,914
It can make some act really weird and I think it's meant to be bad running a bitch in season, something to do with fat round their organs? nobjerk 161
I had a bitch tear a gracillis about a month and a half after being in season . Apparently due to some sort of phantom pregnancy side effect of the muscles , tendons , ligaments etc softening to allow hips to move when giving birth . Always give them two months off 4 weeks after season has ended now to avoid the issue . Have been told by a coursing man that a bitch will run her best around the season but how true that is is anyone's guess !
Peter Leemooch 160
i have a wee terrier that had her first at 5 month 3 weeks she was regular as clockwork after but her mother who didn't have her first until she was 14 month only came in every 10 months so their all different
