Permission For Dogs

I recived some bad news early last week that the ground I have permission on is unavabile due to shooting syndicates require more land , and are in a postion to pay for the privilege . I also lost permission on other land at start of season due to farmer land being sold off for houses and road widening measures , so now find my self with out any permission but feel grateful that I have been able to work both permissions for the last 15 years . so this week been knocking on doors in the area and also in about 30mile radius .but no cigar , I can now see how new guys get feed up who can't get permission, and how working lurchers struggle to get land . Makes me wounder if I will be able to work new pup next season . So get out as much as poss lads this season ,as you never know u could be in same postion in the furture atb

In same position lost a couple of perms been trying to get some new it's like banging your head of a brick wall

I find having basc insurance helps me but what I do is ask for shooting and then after a few months and the farmer starts to like you I bring the lurchers

Went end of September ferretting , every door we knocked they gave us permission,even let us lamp with lurchers,best place I've ever been for knocking doors just don't ask over oban way the wankers lol.atb dc

in over 20 year iv only ever had permission to run dogs on 1 golf course,yes iv often thought how lucky some lads are and the acres of ground they got but actually this one golf course has thousands of acres of surrounding land,iv been lucky iv been not so lucky but i never really been in proper shit street,a reason to be in the vicinity usually wins over all else

What's stopping you from beating for the shoot?. My cockers worth her weight in gold for the permission they've brought in. All shoots need pest control, who better than one who knows the ground!!..... Just don't expect it to happen overnight!!!.

Yeah,i felt the wrath of the law up yonder...now im back where i started pursuing bunnies and im enjoying it and i aint even fussed if i dont get a run,ive caught my quota and then some,i just love being out in the great outdoors with my dogs at heel..just loving what i do & doing what i love..it's all good ?

I manage to get one of the shooting syndicate numbers from the farmer asked if they required beaters or help with pest control or any help I was politely told F off so that's out the window
