What's type of relationship do you have with your landowners?

 

I have three I visit regularly. I text them to tell them when I'll be there. I don't when I leave. I stay as long as I like. That's it. I try to make conversation when I see them but there often to busy.

 

How do you lot go about communicating with them? Do you call before hand, text, nothing at all? Do you stand and chat more than you do shoot?

I text most of mine if I'm going on in the dark

 

1 has driven me around on a pick up he borrowed so I could lamp rabbits with shot gun (A FEW TIMES).

 

also almost alway offers me a brew and as even been known to make me bacon and egg with toast

 

another always offers a brew but I never accept as they are to nice a people and after they chat to me for half hour I might have talked them out of my permission lol.

 

got another that invited me around to a small party for sit down meal withy family on boxing day. I thought very good of th as my lads in a wheel chair and it would have been an effort making the house wheelchair friendly. there was others going as well but I declined.

 

got others that just do not talk and once had one that seen me and said "you still alive" won't be so bad but he's at least 40 year older lol

Generally, I just roll up whenever I want to go shoot and say hello if they are around. I'll give them a call the day before if it's going to be a dawn foray. They see my car and know I'm on and we usually meet up afterwards to discuss what was seen/shot etc.. Sometimes, I find a bottle of wine or two has been left by my car door! It's really a nice arrangement I have with my permission owners, they are lovely people to me..

At work got to book in then phone the police , other one I phone if I'm going lamping others got to park the car in a certain place so they know I'm there mostly just come and go as I want
