Zimpara 99
Looking at the MDRF on chair gun, how many mil are we looking at for an average head? Is nose to ear or nose to eye am easier way of measuring them? I've got one head that I just skinned this morning but it's inside out skinned and rather not go rooting through the bag ;-) Quote Link to post

Zimpara 99
Yeah I'm asking millimetres. Just measured a pigeons head (20mm) feathers make it look more like 38-40mm though. (The one) I'm asking because if you know the size of said object, you can find out the distance. Which is useful when the difference between 40 &45metres is a 6cm pellet drop. 1 Quote Link to post

VWman 232
Am I missing something. If you range find or know the distance from say the tree to the pheasant feeder where the little git is having a go at and you are 30/35 yards or metres and your rifle is zeroed you would just shoot it. 1 Quote Link to post

Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
OP you going to be shooting it from 600 yards or something? A rangefinder would be better than trying to judge measurments through a scope imo. Hft fair enough you get it wrong and the metal target wont get injured.. Personally I like to try get close to squizzers myself furthest I would take a shot is about 45 - 50 yards and thats only if I really had to. 1 Quote Link to post
