First season dog joe

I've never encouraged a youngster to run or check any earth no matter how well used it looks.I would just walk a youngster to the earth off lead and let it do its own thing with no encouragement of an

Stopend, I think you're the one that's Psst.

Of all the terriers I ever owned nearly every single one of them was entered by myself, whether they worked out or not.

That's 30 years of entering my own terriers.

So how you can try telling me how to enter terriers is IMO very funny when you consider that you buy and swap adult terriers on the odd occasion that you're in and out of them.

Edited to add. Stopend, read the first line of your post. The subject of this topic is first season terriers.

Lets face it, you're just looking for an another argument with me.

I have no argument with you Neil, its not primary school...I just asked you a question... how do you make pups... or experienced terriers run an empty earth.... genuine question?

Stopend, in any type of training a dog for hunting you never MAKE a pup do something. Whether that's a gundog retrieving, a lurcher chasing or a terrier travelling an earth.

They have to WANT to do it and good well bred terriers will want to find game.

IMO the only type of working dogs that are MADE to do something are performing dogs in a circus.

Are you a clown Stopend ?

Genuine question.

Why would you have to train anything that's been bred for work and work only? surely a well bred terrier will self enter when its ready or in some cases they have to be held back, and that's up to the terrier man to make that decision not train him as you say like a seal to perform for tidbits to please his circus master... also you said a good well bred terrier has to want to find game....what does that even mean of course he will need to want to find, but a good terrier can decipher between an active burrow, a burrow 1 has just left and I think its quite acceptable if the terrier runs that, and 1 that's dead...you said in a post before I sounded like an ANTI... is it not antis that say hunting folk train terriers?

You also said in a post that I swap or sell dogs.... do you have the name of one dog or pup I have sold or swapped or the name of the person I have sold or supposedly swapped something with? or you just trying to blacken my name on a internet hologram forum were you think I give 2 hoots about?

You also said in a post 3 years ago that the Irish Working Terrier Federation wouldn't last a year! well the IWTF is going into is 4th year in 2016.

and depends who you ask... but the answer would probably be yes...im a clown.

Apart from putting words in my mouth it's good we agree on one thing, you're a clown.

And thank you for trying to argue with me under your usual alias.

now don't be ruining the mans thread and tell us all JEDI how to enter pups and experienced terriers into empty earths so it looks a professional job in front of your pretend hunt masters!
