My advise to modern airgunners is, don't bog your self down with all the techno bollox, it just casts doubt on your next long distance (they won't believe this on THL) shot and just practice. On a bad day, just pack up and go home, there are other things to do. But above all else, you have to enjoy it, with your mates.

Bang on there is tonnes of all the gear no idea types in pretty much every sport.

I'm not complaining, the only time it pisses me off are where animals are involved. But for the rest of us it means we can get bargains when they move on to the next thing they think is cool at the time. It's the other folk that do it because they love it not because they want likes on facebooketc that are a true representation of the given sport.
