shepp 2,285
Just a quick heads up to let you know that Scotch is on offer in most supermarkets at the moment. I bought a bottle of Glenmorangie 10 year old for £25 in Sainsburys earlier.

shepp 2,285
its drink i hate whisky I used to say the same thing, but I had only tried Bells and Teachers. Then I tried a light single malt and found it to be a very different drink. I think that no other spirit has such a depth and complex flavour, I guess that's the reason why it is the worlds most popular spirit.
lurchers 2,973
I can't stand whisky but I'm going to add some berries to it and try that and then hopefully it will be very nice.

Gaz_1989 9,539
One drink I can honestly say I've never had, a proper single malt that is. Had the teachers and bells etc, blended whiskey and never been a fan, so never forked out on a proper whiskey. I love a nice cognac myself.

Brewman 1,192
My uncle put me off drinking whiskey in the late 90's. When I lived in Willesden Green I would cycle the couple of miles to Kilburn to see him on a Sunday afternoon before my evening pints. He had that much duty free whiskey he would give me a half pint glass near to the top and a can of lager chaser. I stopped the cycling home when I near cleaned a pedestrian on the path and near got cleaned by a car on the road. If I remember it was Bells he was trying to get rid of. Bo Duke 420
I'll drink anything and get gifted loads of whiskey but if I'm buying myself a bottle it's always Jameson's for me

Willesden Green and Kilburn area, what awful places, are there any Irish left there now? Doubtful.

Sacrilage, leave the whisky alone and get yourself a couple of strawberry breezers.
