Rez 4,961
Managed to get out this morning with the 99 and just now this evening before it got way to dark. Swapped some scopes over though in the afternoon and after a quick zero [AA Fields, but Charlie, I must try FTT's as you have said, can imagine it getting more accurate though... can I?] mooched around the wooded area at the back of the manor house perm. As mentioned in a previous post I dont see many squirrels myself, but this autumn there out on full force. The morning was nice to be out, and the evening was quiet so wasn't after massive bags and the 99 is a fine weight to just walk around with a pocket of pellets, and shooting off hand is a delight These two fell at the usual ranges. Missed a few birds but wasn't disappointed. In other news, my RAW has been shipped... not sure I want it now, love the spring powered set ups. 9 Quote Link to post

David.evans 5,323
Rez I don't understand this changing scope carry on , are you just testing out each one or are you unhappy with your set up Both t rats are history You must be testing scopes to see which suits you best I've had a few pints , and most likely talking shit Atb Quote Link to post

Not at all. I am indeed testing scopes. As the rifle is so light I'm finding it tough to find what I like most. I'm looking at getting the new small job from Hawke, the 2-7x32 air max. But bunging it on my 1 piece BLK mount. The scopes aren't effecting the shooting of the rifle, it's more me I guess. Quote Link to post

charlie caller 3,654
Good going Rez, glad you are liking it, I did find the Crosman accupel ft 5.53 to be the most accurate in it, and it also liked RWS superfield I seem to remember, but yes it is seriously accurate, enjoy 1 Quote Link to post

jonnie bravo 572
Good man. Are you tempted to get a set back trigger for the 99? Quote Link to post
Rez 4,961
Funnily enough yes, and I know why some do. The style of pistol grip is old sporter so quite linear if that makes sense, not like a 90 degree pistol grip. The more Im shooting it the more I think one would be an addition. Think I prefer the straight jobbies though, but the issue would still remain. 1 Quote Link to post
