When we go go out on the coldest of days, what are signs we look for as regards rabbits in the bury. Yep. green grass round the exits and definitely not frost. Now does that sound like rabbits going deeper? Another thing. A lot of the ground we work is sand and that doesn't freeze. Maybe we are in a different part of the country but to be honest the buries we work are all much of a muchness ie: 2 to 3 feet deep. Yes I know there are extremes but they ain't the norm. fireman 11,235 Posted October 21, 2015 Report Share Posted October 21, 2015 I come into contact with a lot of farmers and the general thought is that we'll be in for a hard winter. one old boy i was talking to on saturday reckons he's not seen as many berries and nuts around for a long time and its nature's way of preparing for a cold winter. There are a lot of berries this year and maybe a little truth in it to,but it's down to the p*ss wet summer we've just had really .. 1 Quote Link to post
