I caught 3 rabbits in 4 hours if that counts

The thing is; some rabbit populations are, on average, easier to catch than others.   Around here you're doing well to catch 75% of what you run. Other places I would expect to catch 90%+ of what I

I hunt both types of land,,,both high ground and the flat winter wheat of midlands ,,and Lincolnshire ,,   In genrel the high ground they are easier caught,, on the low ground your persentages are d

Fair enough but if buck is as big as he looks in pics he would not get near rabbits which been lamped a bit on fast ground he might do 30 kick ups and stone wall/chicken wire that's my opinion but I might be very wrong cheers

that's fair point, places like the dales etc where there plenty there ,even if they get lamp shy , with the numbers there he would get good bag 36 was his last up there could have had more but didn't slip him on every rabbit. But for me mate , his best bag was local by me , he had 20 that night , but there were really hard as you say different ground makes massive difference , but I knew he do well with places like the dales etc , because the 20 I got local , he had to get in to them quick or they were in the edge , and yeh is big but like ive always said on here for such big dog he very agile and good pace ,Bryn only just got the edge on him and that's only with size difference , it deff the ground mate and how much is on it 100%

This is total bullshit 40 rabbits in 90 mins not saying it's not possible but theses rabbits must be total shit your dogs must be picking up loads of squatters and the ones it runs must be very easy

ITS BIN SAID MANY TIMES THE GROUND AND THE NUMBER OF BUNNYS PLUS GOOD WEATHER,,,,YOU WILL CATCH WHAT MR RABBIT PUT,,,,IT NOT A EYE OPENER FOR CHAPS WHO HAVE TRAVELED THE UK HUNTING,,, HAS SQUATTERS SOME TIMES WHEN 50 /50 BUNNYS HAVE GONE IN THE BACK,,,A BIG MITE WOULD BE AROUND HALF DOZEN ,AT THE MOST....

It's all in the feeding of the dogs what is your secret pm if you like Mr rabbit

You could feed your dogs the best of gear but there's no way they would catch 50+ on fast winter wheat rabbits the dog would be f****d

Yep different ball game indeed

Yes, the terrain can play a part, but there are differing qualities of rabbit. IMO.

Had some crackin little runs on sheep fields especially if the sheep have got it down to the nub but in general they don't compare to say winter wheat in numbers same for hares, they fly on golf courses aswell but again different ball game on say winter wheat in winter..
