its a shame when a planned night out gets skittled but surely thats how we all started anyway. i do well for permission now but some years ago the only permission i ever had was from the wife.

even now i'll still shine over the hedge.

bloody cost me last season. slipped the dog in a field i didnt know and he ended up out of it for 3 months . knocked his foot up big style.

keep knocking on doors mate, you might get some legal work more so with ferrets deff. a lot of land owners don't want lurches running all over there ground, which is fair enough . lamping only one part of lurcher work, I get just as much pleasure mooching in the day , you got more chance with smellies getting on ground than a dog. once the farmer or land owner trusts you ,you might get on with the lamp you got to keep at it knocking doors . I was only saying regards lamping most if there honest jump over the fence sooner or later its only nature , lets face it what normal person walks round fields at 2am in the dark with a spot light , we do feckin nutters legal or not

ano i got to wait when getting perm for ferreting dont rush n ask can bring dog otherwise al look too eager n a twat n ano people poach obviously but this is my first season lamping n first time seeing poaching on perm it was just unfortunate that we got there after them n i will be knocking on doors still n trying to do it legal but will be looking over other hedges now

If you were following someone else lamping,they must have been there because its worth lamping ?

 

Get back out earlier or the last thing before dawn and try again. . . late on in winter when its still dark in a morning its worth getting up early and trying a scout around then..There's places I go where there's not much about late on but plenty bobbing about just before Dawn.

True that. There are places near me that aren't worth a wank on the lamp. But early doors at first light you will get a few runs on different bits and bobs.
