cragman 2,843
Wilf, they will reveal SOME but not all of the information, stating that if they do they will be giving away critical data they could revel to their opponents when Froome and others might be weak during a race and so others will have an idea when best to attack.Lemond says to clear themselves completely, SKY would be better giving everything they have to whoever wants it and let the others play catch up. WILF 50,837
Fair enough mate, what would be the view of someone who "know" cycling.......do his team have a point or are they swerving because as I understand it the info they are giving out is meaningless as it stands ? cragman 2,843
I suppose it's up to the authorities to prove that something is going on so the doubts will always remain until proven one way or the other. I loved Armstrong too when he rode, and defended him at all times...I was let down big time!
bird 10,014
Froome's a real sporting champion, and most cyclist's deserve the recognition they get. The dedication from these guys is unbelievable and they can be found in winter training for the following years tour at the foot of the Pyranees and Alps, such is their training schedule. I've great respect for such athletes, it's the few wrong 'uns that bring disgrace to their sport. Well done Froome Ye I heard their training is intense. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I heard on the radio before that with all the training they do their heart enlarges, and with that when they retire they have to keep up a training schedule for life to cope with the physical problems that comes from extreme training Can't see how or why the heart enlarges, but it works very hard over a long time/distance which can obviously put extreme pressure on the heart ...It might become more efficient over time. Lemond and others don't do anything specific to counter what they did years ago. Froomes resting heart rate is 28 bpm, the average for a man at his age, 30 years old, is 71. His max is 168 and the average for a man his age is 190, so his heart does not have to work as hard. He also has a massive lung capacity. Miguel Indurain had a resting heart rate of something like 26 beats a minute plus his lungs were freaks of nature! well , this is why he as good as he is, not drugs just his natural being and he is doing us English proud , as for them c**ts gobing at him or punching him , pity there no English fans there don't pile into them and give them taste of there own medicine .

Blackbriar 8,569
Well done to Chris Froome . Looks like he's going to win the Tour de France for the second time , and will go down in history as one of our sporting greats . But the guy has had to put up with some crap from spectators , just watched him being spat at , he's been punched and had piss thrown over him . If morons like that think he will curl up into a ball and give up they are wrong , it will only make him more determined . Because he is a true Brit , and unlike our "friends " from over the channel , he won't wave a white flag and surrender the minute the going gets tough . Go on Chris , they don't like it up em ! ....and he retired injured last year.....and surrendered the lead to Wiggins in 2012. So this could have been his 4th win ! Very modest and unassuming, too - nice guy ! I've understand that the animosity from some sections of the crowd, and most of the French press, is aimed at the Sky team set-up and its perceived domination of the sport, rather than at Froome personally. I'm sure that a great consolation, as he cycles 50 miles, covered in some Frenchman's pi55 ! Either way, disgusting behaviour ! shovel leaner 7,650
He is African is he not? Wilf , the man is English , his parent and grandparents did what we Brits have done for generations . Colonised the world . They moved to Kenya as farmers , no doubt bringing work and prosperity to the indigenous people . Raising them from mere savages , to a more civilised culture . Ok they may have had to chuck them off their land and murder a few . But that is what makes a great empire .

To become efficient it needs to move larger quantities of blood where it needs to go while not working as hard and it does that by increasing in capacity. Each beat of a top cyclists heart moves much more blood than the heart of the average person, thats why their resting BPM rate is so low.
WILF 50,837
As someone who has played sport, all be it at a very basic amateur level, I found Armstrong a massively interesting person........in fact it's always interesting to get a look at the character of any one at the very pinnacle if world sport. It's my opinion that you need to be a little bit of a nutcase when you are competing.......but some of these people are like it 24/7.
