Francie 6,368
Spot on wilf, doesn't matter if its con, labour, thereall cut from the same cloth, they couldn't careless about people, they might pretend they do, but that's it, there is no opposition its a farce, . Have a think about this, the main departments, say health for instance, is the MP a doctor, or even a health worker no, an its the same all over, not one of them have any experience in their roles, an there the head of that department, what a joke, there all overpaid, underworked wannabes imo

Guest ragumup
The Labour Party thought up the bottomless pit that is the NHS, they have actively promoted the distruction of our culture by immigration, they have been the sympathetic ear to every odd ball and lunatic that has ever wanted to turn our country into a toilet, they have turned a blind eye to the outrages committed by various ethnic groups, they were keen to sell the whole country lock, stock and barrel to Europe. They let the unions run wild and destroy many of this countries industries. Yes, these thing have happened under Conservative governments as well but labour are far and away the worst culprits.......why would a party with any morals continue to entertain the likes of Dianne Abbott ? The Conservative party of the last 25 years have not been much better, but they still couldn't hold a candle to labour when it came to promoting British "self loathing " I know people hate Thatcher but I truly believe that she was a true "belief" politician......that's why she had to go, she had no place in the hijack that was to come and I dont think she would have stood it. That's just my opinion and I am sure many will not agree. The Tories have their fair share of odious characters, too - Labour have no monopoly on idiots! .........and no claims of trade unions "destroying industry" will ever match the amount of industry that Thatcher actually destroyed ! The industry's Thather destroyed weren't real industry's mate they were make believe losing billions of tax payers money every day . I know it was painful but you have to take your medicine to get better...
Truther 1,579
its a well known proven fact that every labour government since they started have left this country bankrupt and they've taken great pleasure in flushing a once great country down the pan Here's the official breakdown.......................................https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historical_rankings_of_Prime_Ministers_of_the_United_Kingdom

Blackbriar 8,569
I've not been trying to say that any one party is better or worse than any other - I'm concerned by Labour's demise (and that of the LibDem's, I suppose) because of the wider implications for democracy, not because I support either of them, because I don't ! My contention is that while there is no effective political opposition, we live, to all intent andpurposes, in a one party state, where the ruling group can follow any policy they choose - however unfair, unjust, short-sighted or self-serving that policy might be......and that, to me, is NOT a democracy. We need alternative voices from the sidelines, asking awkward questions and forcing governments to justify their policies, not competing to become paler versions of the ruling party. Even when a government has a large majority, we should still have an organised, coherent opposition, otherwise there is no scrutiny, no scope for 'checks and balances'.....and that, to me, is NOT a democracy. At the moment, the Opposition cant even agree whether to oppose or not ! No opposition, no democracy !

shepp 2,285
Corbyn says openly what the Labour party was at one time supposed to believe in. He should be given at least a bit of credit for his honesty. The other three candidates are timid creatures who "calibrate" every utterance for fear of alienating some tiny fragment of support.
