DogFox123 1,379
You don't need fibre to stream 10mb will handle 720p with ease 20mb will do 1080p, I get 154mb down from Virgin, but then I have 5 PC, 2 games machines, sky box, tablet, and android box as well lol I run around 10mb and the live sport last night was very poor quality, the movies worked fine until the box decided to pack in. IanB 0
I just download movies, series , etc.. Then turn my PC into a media server using PLEX, it can then stream anything I want over the wifi or internet, with full covers and information. It Basically looks like netflix on another PC or ipad, iphone etc. If you have a smart tv it can connect to plex on your network, if not you can use a chromecast and it will play your full movie/series setup on your TV you can use an Iphone, Android , phone as a remote...its pretty good. arcticgun 4,548
Do you simply add media you acquire about the net too plex system? Heard of it may well look into it

steve66 3,843
Tvmc is probably the easiest app to use
Malt 379
Just a thought, could you do this with a standard android phone and the right gear to stream over wifi/with the right leads , or would you have to use a rooted phone?
steve66 3,843
Think it can be done , you'll need a casting app

goshawking719 492
I'd recommend anyone with a android phone/tablet to download showbox and tv portal. Streams directly to the TV with chrome cast on virgin broadband. New films on in decent quality within a few days of being released and tv series within a few hours of airing. I rarely watch regular tv nowadays.
arcticgun 4,548
One look at a combined package of say sky full package plus Netflix for your house not see much change out notes I'd wager more if your a boxing fan A couple of stutters streaming issues n odd dead link well worth putting up with at the price these things cost
steve66 3,843
Amazon fire stick plugs straight into your hdmi ,so no need for casting , and at £25.00 you can't go wrong

I rarely watch regular tv nowadays. I've had problems with showbox movies not being compatible with chromecast as there mkv format not mp4 if you know a way around this please share?.. I was using the HD cinema app before but that's seems to have gone of line now . I will have a look at TV portal....yify.org is a fantastic torrent site for films mainly blue ray rips fantastic quality all in mp4 you may have to access it through a proxy tho depending on your ISP.
