Rez 4,961
Managed to get myself a Fenman. Got a textie from a chap who I sold my 98 too months back about it this morning on the theoben owners group on gay book. Saw one yesterday which was a shed and thought he meant that one, but this one I'd not seen. So nice one Oz. Went over and picked it up this evening from a sound lad in Leeds. 250 quid! Yes. 250. Came with a AGS 4-16x50 AO IR, leather gun slip and JSB Exacts heavies. It is superb too, real sweet. 177 @ 10.2 on the crono. Proper mk1 with the Hyundai wood, or however you spell it. If it's half as accurate as it looks and feels, it should be mint. 5 Quote Link to post

I remember salivating over these in airguner magazine years ago, it cost me nearly a weeks pocket money just to buy the magazine and was reviewed by terry doe if I remember rightly? That's a beauty and a bargain! Quote Link to post

pianoman 3,589
Hi Rez. You've got a real smart rifle here. I've never owned a Fenman but, they were a really popular carbine back in the early 2000s. The wood is called HYDUA and for some reason, you pronounce it SHEDUA. It's also a slow-growth wood that doesn't grow quicly enough to replenish itself; which makes it rare and a protected tree species now so, Hydua is no longer allowed to be grown and sold for commercial uses like furniture, flooring.... and gunstocks!# The guy who runs Custom Stock Sheffield, told me that once when I asked about a sporter stock made from Hydua. ATB Rez and looking forward to reading your experiences shooting with it. Simon 1 Quote Link to post

Rimfireboy! 1,463
Lovely handy little rifle fella. I've got an early HE sirocco carbine, the barrel is three inches longer than the fenman but it's still a handy little rifle and lovely build quality. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Looks like you got a bargain. 1 Quote Link to post
