mushroom 14,274
Just buy a pair of salters from Argos and pick the dog up, stand on the scales, note the weight, put the dog down, stand back on the scales, note the weight then deduct the second number from first and that's ya dogs weight 3 Quote Link to post

wirral countryman 2,110
I use an old set of "Salter" scales that hang from the rafter on the shed, all dogs go in a builders bag or sling with 4 holes for the legs and are extremely accurate, got them from one of my old farmers who used to run a butchers, WM 1 Quote Link to post

bird 10,015
Just send pictures of them to Bird and he'll tell you exactly how much they weigh and you'll be able to save yourself a few euros.. not no more mate, I only weigh me dogs 1-2 twice a year now when I go to vets for booster's , or if they been hurt, them scales there dam more easier there, just walk the dog on , than trying to lift+hold 60-80lb lurchers, more so when you got a fooked back like me and like most people with lurchers if the dogs catching well and not over knackered when working it don't matter what they weigh ,its doing it job well that's all that matters to me 2 Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
Like mushroom says I just stand on the scales holding the dog. I'm 120kg so if it says 140kg with the dog in my arms then the dog is 20kg. Magic ? 1 Quote Link to post
