Not everyone.......i just never understood how the work of some good dogmen created glory for somebody who never worked a dog in his life....im certainly not about to get into arguments that still go

Its alright for yous with your light hearted bickering ive been typing while hiding under my bed lately being as how some boy Jukel off here warned me against discussing gamedogs a few weeks ago....it

Thats probably because he,s always been a salesman.......doesnt mean he didnt produce some exceptional dogs though.

If countries like Holland,Luxembourg,Greece etc could do it so could we.......we f****d it pure and simple.....having had some of the great purebred family dogs created over mens life times from around the world what do we have to show for it......................some good lurchers !!!......If thats not a sporting tragedy i dont know what is.

id say the opposite actually because lurchers are bred, owned and worked for the love of a dog thats good at its job andable to complete the required task where as the bulldog game is all money. A lurcher does its job and theres no or very little financial gain, can that honestly be said for pures?

Your committing the cardinal sin of making comparisons between hunting and sport.............the Apbt is/was a sporting dog bred for sport....theres money in sport theres not in hunting, simple.
hunting is a sport but the inly wins and losses are personal satisfaction so to produce a line of dogs knowing you cant gain from them to me proves far more than producing a line for money

Sport has rules and has to be fair.......what are the rules of hunting are they fair ?..... If i ask you to deal with my rat problem i couldnt care less if you are personally satisfied just as long as you get rid of my rats..........animals hunt, are they playing sport as well ?

I used to compare hunting with sport it wasnt until i saw true hunters that i realised it was a way of life.

How small?? Bulldogs on average aren't big dogs... What did she weigh?
15 to 16 tts and about 27 pounds roughly if memory serves me correctly .

Yeah slightly on the smaller side but they can still be dynamite.

Some of the Patrick/Anderson stuff East St was churning out were very small dogs as low as 29/30 lb but i cant recollect many Nelis dogs lower than mid to high 30,s

my father thought she probably should've been tapped as a pup but was given to him instead . Edited by marshman
