treecreeper 1,136
Just watched the new Equaliser movie with Denzel Washington, good action flick, John Wick worth a scan as well I thought that was awful its another one of these films where the baddies all come at you in single file awaiting their turn for death too daft to be good in my opinion. a lot of films are the same, you know whats going to happen pretty much. john wicks exactly the same, segal and van damme etc were doing the same stuff years ago. a lot of it is unrealistic shit but some aint bad. I didn't get the german spotting him under the tank other than he didn't want to be there. I thought locke was abit naff compared to other stuff he been in. THE STIFFMEISTER 17,405
When you watch a film set in Iraq or afghan , watch for the message..... in films that require vast amounts of military hardware , eg borrowing it from the yank military, there is always a scene where one of the local fighters does / says something heroic, so the yanks are basically there to help them along. For example in the a team remake when Hannibal waves goodbye to his Iraqi counterparts . SEALs, mmmmhhhhh, there's something bitter inside me about being able to walk off in off the street and 18 months later be the chief of all chiefs ...something I am glad doesn't happen here. Would love to see a proper British military movie made ... Smith? "Which one sir?" Newie smith .your on your sniper course Monday. I can't sir, I've got a wedding that weekend. In Inverness. Right, Jennings, your on it now. Fucks sake, Brecon brilliant. Can I have a hire car? No, you'll have to take a land rover. Why green eyed boys or anything to do with the South Atlantic hasn't been brought to the silver screen is beyond me. Perhaps as a fighting race, were just not glamourous enough
