when i was a lad we lived on a farm and often got invaded, we used to use glass bottles , with a bit of chocolate stuck in the neck as far as you could get your finger then a bit more smeared around the neck, we would then prop the bottle at a 45 degree angle , usually against the skirting board, would get mice every time and the little uns didnt get away, nb i have watched baby mice sit on mouse traps and feed without setting them off, once used a bottle that had a dreg of taboo in , had a very merry mouse out of that 1 :)

Foxdropper, we've had a lot more call outs for mice rats and squirrels indoors than usual for this time of year! You honestly shouldn't worry yourself about trying to find the entrance, they are nigh on impossible to proof out of domestic properties.

Trap wise, worth you spending a fiver on evil bay and get some decent plastic snappy traps, they are foolproof to set and have a dish to squeeze your peanut butter down into so they can't steal and get away with it.

Ordered 7 t rex ,cheers mate

Mate, In my opinion those Mini T-Rex are terrible wicked f*****g things. They might be strong enough to kill house mice ok, but on wild mice (especially Apodemus flavicollis) they leave so many of the poor things still alive and squirming around they might as well be called live capture traps.

I’ve been using the Snap-e Traps (the ones with the yellow bar). I’ve found they are much cleaner at killing – especially when they’re inside the plastic boxes you can get for them.

ATB.

Had 3 over the last week or so. Just stick a chewy sweetie on the prong and they can't get it off.

Ive got that foam filler behind my skirting( old house) and the wee b*****ds bite/scrape it and it's the most annoying sound in the world. Hopefully I've got them.

I rate the newer type of release better than the old wooden traps (just a variation on the theme though) but the reality is, when the break backs are boxed, the mice are led funnel fashion to their demise, I have never known one miss!

"Killgerm", they are known as an AF Snappa, that is the outer box, it does not include the break back..

They will tend to only supply the trade, but I have seen these online and there are other variations of course.
