Malt 379
Went on one myself a few months back. Was quite relaxed and a good thing for some folk there I reckon. Should have seen the looks of disaproval on some of the faces of the other folks there when I said I got caught doing 85 on the motorway. Silly b*****ds, me knowing exactly what speed I was doing at the time and paying attention to the road conditions and traffic around me was far less dangerous than them doing 35-40 in the 30mph zone most of them were caught in. That the whole thing was geared towards 30 and 40 zones should have emphasised that..
Malt 379
Ffs i know my speed the new ones yes they harder but im telling you some trucks are going faster so neck time you on motorway check it out, ok why do i know well just a few years ago i got told a trick i tried it and on certain trucks u can go faster.. My Hilux invincible says mph on the clock when its actually doing 72 mph. Lots of manufactures make speedos read incorrectly to make their MPG figures look better, You may be going a lot slower than you think????The law states that a speedo mustn't under read so most manufacturers set them to slightly over read. Yours sounds way out though. Has it got different sized wheels on it to the ones it came out the factory with?
Waz 4,292
Driving too slow can be considered an offence apparently, but I'm not sure what it would come under. When I did my advanced motorcycle course, I was told to accelerate up to the speed limit as soon as possible. Mainly to stop ginger people tailgating me. Failed one of my driving tests for going too slow on a dual carriageway! Passed 3rd time which I thought not too bad as I only had a few lessons.
bracken boy 584
So the speed signs are not correct then? Cus mine is within 1 mph of them?? The ones im on about is the 30 and 40 visual signs??

Lid 194
I use my sat nav to tell me what speed I'm going. All our cars read about 74 at 70.
arnieboy 93
worst offenders are the pricks who sit in the middle lane in road works doing 45 not 50 and WONT move back in to the nearside lane thus hampering all lorries by reducing the options for the lorry driver. ffs just do as it says in the highway code move back in after overtaking worst offenders are the pricks who sit in the middle lane in road works doing 45 not 50 and WONT move back in to the nearside lane thus hampering all lorries by reducing the options for the lorry driver. ffs just do as it says in the highway code move back in after overtaking Wasnt there a law passed making it an offence to stay in the middle lane after overtaking if there was it should be inforced with the death penalty for none compliance

k99yle 53
Oh if what your saying is true k99yle would that not be the same for trucks??? I would imagine a trucks tachograph would be properly calibrated and read true.

Yours sounds way out though. Has it got different sized wheels on it to the ones it came out the factory with? No mate. This was on the standard 15 inch wheels with 265 65 15 tyres. I have now fitted 16 inch wheels with 285 75 16 tyres so much bigger rolling circumference and speedo reads spot on. This has changed my mpg massively as i now am getting an accurate figure not Toyotas lies
