Seen one one night two years ago wile looking for poachers on the faughan river,me an four others seen it slowly moving in the sky about quarter mile up no sound no craft hust a big ball of very bright light,drifted over the horizon an away,seen them at investigations into haunted houses an also supposed ufo sightings! It was about the size of a tennis ball with an aura bout the size of a football, roughly two meters off the ground, travelled about 30 meters at a little faster than walking speed. My first thought was gamekeeper etc from the surrounding estate but noone there when I lit the area up spooky weird to say the least Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Tiercel 6,986 Posted October 27, 2014 Report Share Posted October 27, 2014 About 50 years ago I was walking to a friends house and the mountain was the back drop behind the house, there was a ball of light above the mountain, I have no idea how big or how far away it was, but it looked less than a quarter of the size of a full moon. As I was walking south up the road to my mates house, I saw it come from the east and travel what seemed to be along the mountain top towards the west. Looking back now the distance I saw it travel was approx 10 miles from the time I first saw it to the time it disappeared. It's hard to say now how long I watched it for but it was no longer than a minute or so. It was just after dark so it could have been the sun reflecting on a plane etc?
