marshman 7,758
Shrewd move really when you think about it, he's already in trouble with Ofcom for previous remarks made on the show also hes got every PC c**t waiting for him to say the slightest thing wrong . So hes does this knowing how most people feel about the Falklands and Argentina, also knowing that the average Brittish man will find it very funny and public opinion will be with him against the PC authorities. Truther 1,579
At least it didn't say W011 FLK with a very cleverly placed retention pin to make it read WON FLK. To be fair, I did have to look up the numberplate and read the story to see what was so bad about it. Anyone else aged 30 or below might also struggle with that reference. Or maybe I'm just thick. I'm 29 but I'll never forget the events of 1982. I'm shocked that anyone could be unaware of the reference. Its the most recent occasion of British territory being invaded. And one of our greatest military successes! I'm 26, but then everyone knows I'm a geek so the fact I got it probably would'nt suprise anyone, LOL. Sheeple

Truther 1,579
Ok mate, you both dislike certain things, then blindly support the people that cause these things without knowing the ins and outs, wave a flag, call something "British soil" even if its 8,000 miles away and the cannon fodder go running, not a crime btw, i was young and didn't think things through once, its a while back now though lol. johnny boy68 11,726
You couldn't make this shit up tbh, they're now saying......... Local councillor Juan Manuel Romano claimed the digits 269 on the number plate of the Ford Mustang Mustang Richard Hammond was driving were close to the 255 Britons killed during the 1982 war. He also said the numbers 646 on James May’s Lotus could be taken as a reference to the 649 Argentinian casualties.
Born Hunter 17,910
I read that too JB. Now I'm sure Clarksons plate was intentional but it's not their style to make such a crude reference to the dead.

Funny you say that as my birthday features the numbers 1 and 9 and also 5.........and I am sure something happened on days with 1 or more of those numbers in that have offended me. Where do I send the claim form ??

Now IF they were crass enough to number the casualties of war, would it have been so hard to get numberplates with the exact numbers on? It's all bollocks.
