WILF 50,239
I have been all round this country, let me tell you......every c**t is in the same boat !! I have yet to meet a bad jock lad, in fact I have lads up there I count as good pals......real salt of the earth type people. What I am reading here bares little in common with all the lads I met, none of them were moaning like f**k. You don't meet farmers in Cambridgeshire saying "we grow all the f***ing wheat, why shouldn't we have more bread than suffolk !!........it ludicrous talk !! Salmond has done no more than appeal to people's bigotry, greed and their unrealistic Hollywood dreams of some shite Mel Gibson film !! People have voted, your own people, they said no......stop behaving like brats !!

mackay 3,633
What bit about more people in Scotland rejected independence than voted for it don't you guys get?.
WILF 50,239
Grant, they don't give a toss about anyone's kids but everyone is the same, just plain old beat up blokes working our job.......there no massive movement to pull up drawbridge anywhere else in the country so why are you lot so special? As I said, all the Scots lads I have met never kept on moaning about how hard done by they are, they are just like every other poor b*****d !
Brigzy 1,298
Why do you "yes" voters keep going on about an "English Government" ? There is NO SUCH THING !! The Scots have a government, the Welsh have a government, the Northern Irish have a government; the English DONT. There is a UK government, and it has it's fair share of SCOTTISH MPs, and some would say it's had more than its fair share of Scotsmen in positions of high power; Blair, Brown, Darling, Alexander to mention just a recent few ! Every time you mention the " English government" you are simply reinforcing the perceived hatred of the English.

The Seeker 3,048
Seriously guys the vote has been on the agenda for 2 years. The vote took place three days ago. The answer from the majority of the Scottish population including lowering the voting age to capture the 16 year olds was still to reject independence. However bitter this pill may be to swallow for some ,accept it, move on and look forward or this bitterness will only eat you up. As I said earlier Salmond has created a wedge between a country where there didn't need to be one. That will be his legacy.
morton 5,369
Seriously Seeker,Salmond created a wedge, utter bollocks,im as English as they come, yet the fella nearly united a nation,if he had been born a century or two earlier he may have been called "Bonnie" or "Bruce",hes possibly the best jock since Wilson, the arrow chucker,Dalglish or Souness,Braveheart Salmond for me. WILF 50,239
Since we are talking about democracy and fairness and all that, who thinks that the whole of the UK should be allowed to vote in the event of another referendum since it will affect the UK ? morton 5,369
The realism of Salmond is he failed to get independence for his country, something as a Unionist ill always thank him for,yet respect his resolve and fortitude,Salmond is as British as the best of us,yet as Scottish as the ones of us that may wish we were borne to be,a better Brit than most,as good a Jock as many of his illustrious ancestors, well played that man. WILF 50,239
That's a well written opinion of Salmond mate, fair play.........personally I think he is a prick !

Eh? Did you see the same vote results as me or something different How does 45% of the vote equate to nearly uniting a nation? Is this nearly uniting a nation, similar to nearly winning the world cup, or nearly winning the lottery? 45% is less than half the population, I'm sorry but all he as done is split the nation in two.
