I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Looks like a typical politician trying to blow his own trumpet & work his audience, who are obviously mostly from the asian community and who feel under represented in parliament. It's a bit of a stretch to read this as 'they're trying to take over' and it'll be all 'female genital mutiliation and public stonings' if we don't all act now and vote UKIP.

 

I know nothing about Shahid Malik but just looked at his Wiki page and on the basis of what I've read he seems a decent guy and a credit to his community. I certainly don't feel threatened by him.

Crocodiles can be really dangerous, but I can't see the crocodile. You people use sweeping statements applied to all muslims as if they're all terrorists. That's wrong and unfair and driven by a racist agenda.

There IS an ever growing threat, particularly in the UK largely because of a lack of tolerance, understanding and acceptance of people of different faith.
