gnasher16 31,496 Posted January 2, 2015 Report Share Posted January 2, 2015 you dont respect me as a man cause I beleive an read the bible,just what God says,why? theres nothing wrong with being a lukewarm christian,i was one for years,but I left myself wide open to be deceived,an I was,i admit it,beleived in aliens,ghosts evoloution,etc all the rest of the propaganda in todays world,to doubt,an takeyou as far away from God as possible. Why do you not read the scripture,if you dont mind me asking? Frazdog i dont know you as a man only what i read on here but if you come across in real life as you come across on here i think id have a hard time showing you respect......i know a few people in everyday life who are just as enthusiastic and just as full on Christians as you are.......but they dont make me feel like im committing sin for not thinking exactly what they think......they dont make me feel like its an all or nothing decision and commitment to make.......they accept that they are further along in their journey towards enlightenment than what i am and allow me to move at my own pace with help and encouragment not guilt and force. For me the ultimate goal is to live my life as a peaceful person with good intentions while still being true to myself .......being around committed Christians and talking to them and sharing things i find helpful.......i could imagine being round you for 10 minutes and wanting to rip your throat out .....you are obviously well read on the subject but to advise people you need to be more than just well read.......im a gym owner and been bodybuilding many years,when people ask my advice on the subject i move them along at their pace not mine otherwise i will totally overwhelm them with knowledge they cant use and who would benefit from that ? not them thats for sure i would merely be showing off my own learnings.....and maybe thats what you are doing,but like ive said it can be very off putting. As for reading scripture.....again,we all move at our own pace i find the bible difficult to take in and understand due to the style its written that doesnt mean i dont want to i just find it easier to learn through conversation than the written word.......so as an everyday joe with 1 foot in the door of the christian faith am i wrong for not reading scripture on a regular basis Fraz ?.......will God strike me down ? because if he would then the God i talk to cant be the same as the God you talk to that much i do know. 3 Link to post Share on other sites

Anyway as I said before, im just repeating whats in the good book, so if you think its me thats forcing, or guilting, you need to think again, imo you just want your cake an eat it aswell. But hold on gnash, if you think you dont respect me, an would rip my throat out,( did you ever here the saying, bigger they are, harder they fall), why are you taking in what im saying? Imo gnash, I think obeying what God says would put your nose out of joint, an interfere with your we cosy lifestyle, I mean one foot in door, , but hey thats up to you. An to say im showing of gnash ffs, man grow up, this is serious situation, im trying to help people that want it, an if they dont fair enough, my door is always open to anybody. It might be a big game for you, but not for me, im doing something for the lord, what are you doing, apart from crabbing, other christians like me. Im not trying to have a dig Fraz, its just a debate to me mate, no offence intended If im honest i broken a good few of those rules mate, but nobody's perfect.
