I'm fed up of posts not lasting more than 4-5 years these days pressure treatment does nothing now it seems. My mate is a mechanic and I just picked up 5 gallons of old oil and can have as much more as I like, I've got an old 40 gallon drum I've cut the top off and I'm gunna soak the bottom foot or so that's going in the ground in there for a few weeks!! Neils 1 Posted March 8, 2014 Report Share Posted March 8, 2014 I treat my sheds and fences in all my engine oil, it does seem to do the trick, it is apparently bad for you tho so it might be an idea to put gloves on before you slap it all over everything!
