cant blame immigrants, they pay more tax than paid out in benifits

lol lol. Yeh you keep reading and believing the shite

"Tories have raised the retirement age dont expect labour to reverse it, the unelected house of lords have stripped the scottish parliament of control over renewable energy a sign of more to come and central scotland is being opened up by UK gov for gas fracking without consulting the people who live there"

After George Osborne delivered his autumn statement, SNP Treasury spokesman Stewart Hosie MP commented:

"This Tory Chancellor has a miserable record on economic growth and borrowing - and an austerity agenda of cuts, cuts and more cuts to come. The new hammer blow today from Westminster is that the retirement age is to rise yet again. This means that Scottish youngsters leaving school this year will have to work for more than 50 years to get the state pension they will pay for, and it takes no account of Scotland's lower life expectancy. The Tory Chancellor is adding unfairness on top of austerity. And he was silent on the £4 billion threat to Scotland's budget if there is a No vote next year .

“George Osborne has failed to meet any of his own targets, and is delivering an unfair policy agenda that has been roundly rejected by the people of Scotland - adding to the importance of people in Scotland voting Yes next year.”

George Osborne should “come clean” about his plans for Scotland’s finances when he makes his Autumn Statement, Finance Secretary John Swinney has demanded.

Mr Swinney issued the challenge to the UK Chancellor before today’s statement which the Prime Minister has said will set out “the next steps in a long-term plan to turn our country round”.

But the Scottish Government has raised fears that if voters opt to stay part of the UK, Scotland could be in line for Budget cuts totalling as much as £4 billion.

Mr Swinney said: “The Autumn Statement is a chance for the Chancellor to chart a proper course for a sustained economic recovery, but he also needs to come clean about his future plans for Scotland’s finances.”

The Tories, Liberal Democrats and Labour are “lining up to slash Scotland’s cash if there was to be a No vote in the referendum” next September, he claimed, adding that a House of Commons report last week suggested “the scale of the cuts coming Scotland’s way in those circumstances would be as high as £4 billion a year”.

The Finance Secretary warned: “That would be a devastating blow to Scotland’s economy and to the ability of any Scottish Government to properly fund the range of popular policies this administration has taken forward in recent years.”

He has demanded assurances from the Chancellor that his statement today will make no more cuts to Scotland’s Budget, arguing that the previous reductions have been “deeply damaging” and represent a failure to respect the system of devolution, under which the Budget is approved by Holyrood.

“Scotland has raised more tax per head than the UK for every one of the last 30 years,” he said.

“The benefits of taking Scotland’s future into Scotland’s hands have been set out in our comprehensive 670-page blueprint for independence, but the costs of putting our future in Westminster’s hands are becoming increasingly clear.

“Only a Yes vote next year, and the full economic powers of independence, will protect Scotland’s Budget and allow us to grow the economy and create more jobs.”

This whole thing really bugs me.................I work, my wife works and we do different shifts so we can look after our son who is 15 not easy and has ADHD, so is a real handful. We get child support like every other parent in the country but we get absolutely no other support in the form of any benefits or tax credits at all. I do not own my own house and never will do, I just cant save the money required. Basically because I work and do not play on my child's condition, I am F****d, I will literally have to work till I drop....................when people ask what my retirement plans are, my reply is really simple............................death. Now I will get to the point, I am the grandson of a man who was a professional soldier at the start of WW2, an RSM in fact and he spent 6 years fighting so that the whole world could be free, quite literally. He never owned his own house or ever made enough money to pass it on to his family, but this country gives money to foreign countries at a rate that baffles the mind, encourages dossers to live their whole life on the dole, takes peoples homes as payment for care in old age, allows multi billion pound companies to choose how much to pay in tax and gives everything to those that don't work for it or don't live here.........................its a total joke........................having seen a bit my granddad made two predictions many years ago.............................one that the working man will never be treated fairly by any government in this current system and that one day, Asians will rule the world..................................pretty close to the mark eh

I think the masses are fed up and don't question more out of feeling they're wasting their time.

If you then add to the mix that the majority of politicians are arrogant, superior in their own minds, wealthy and out of touch and are often condescending to the public it's no surprise and the cnuts will never have to rely on the likes of a state pension.

took the words right out of my mouth

Try telling the man that toils everyday with shovels and picks that he has to work until he is 70, fecking goverment cnuts.

Government knows that he'll be dead there shouts and won't be paying out much anyway. They just don't care.
