Gaz_1989 9,539
6x4!! Fooking hell my ferrets are in a bigger run than that. And you want to put a sleeping box in there to??My thoughts aswell mate that's a very small kennel my ferret court is 8x5 I don't think kennels need to be as big as a lot of lads would have you believe if the dogs are out regular. My kennels are 6x4 and my runs are 2m x 2m. But it's not necessary. It's just a bigger area for them to shit and piss. I'm designing some block built kennels to start in the spring and they aren't going to be anything like as big as they are now. 4 foot wide and 9 foot long I reckon. With the back 3 foot partitioned for sleeping. 1 Quote Link to post

It is very small. But as said it depends if the lad is one of them who leaves his dog kennelled 24/7 or if his dogs are part of the family and regularly out and about. For me the kennel is a place to keep them safe where they can still empty themselves while I'm at work for 6 hours in the day. So there's no need for it to be huge. Quote Link to post

Suzy Ross 236
raised bedboard That's more like it, shredded paper, gets dragged everywhere but easier to clean out and replace true, but if you use the wax shredded paper it (bindes) better and hold it all better, still get bit in the garden, more so when dogs are trying to hide there bones in it lol, but 100% better than norm shredded paper. Aye bird, the paper I found best was shredded fag paper. Aye hiding the bones is a bugger, especially when your walking them and they are have paper they've eat hanging out their arse Quote Link to post

Lol just seen all posts saying my kennels are too small and I do agree they are a bit on small side but I am lucky enough to be able to take my dogs to work where they run around most of the day there so the only time they r in kennel is from about 6.30 at night until 7 in the morning and that's if I don't take them out for a mooch after work which 9 times out of 10 I do 1 Quote Link to post
