But know of more lads who have taken it and its fine... How much is a course of the champix?

Frann 882
Not tried those but if youre not sure try the nicotine gum. I smoked for years until I tried that, 2 packs, not smoked in 9 years now. Its good stuff, if you really want to quit.
leegreen 2,249
Get an electronic cigarette. You will look a proper knob and that will make you stop.

Nik_B 3,791
Wouldn't touch them myself, they mess with the brain. The wife tried them and said she felt strange and sick at times. Stick to the patches and will power
B.P.R 2,798
Get an electronic cigarette. You will look a proper knob and that will make you stop. Bet it wont ... One of my mates who has no legs.... i was wheeling him through birmingham hospital.... and amidst the shocked looks at his stumps.... the rest were disgraced at him puffing a ciggy.... until security stopped him and it was an electric cigarette.... cheaper than a pack of fags...and smoke anywhere.... Definitley not going to stop you smoking ....
Born Hunter 17,910
I don't smoke but got a mate that's always 'trying' to quit, anyway he gave them tablets a bash about a year ago...... made him a complete wreck! i wouldn't say he's a particularly level headed stable sort anyway but those tabs had a real bad effect on him. Blackbriar 8,569
I hope you'll find my experience helpful, Ant - As a result of smoking from a young age, I had a heart attack aged 45, and was told that if I continued smoking, it was almost certain that I would very soon have another and probably wouldn't live to see 50 !! Outcome? It's a no-brainer. I was 50 in April. Please don't think I'm getting all 'preachy', but do yourself the biggest favour you can - give it up, before it's too late ! Don't waste your money on patches and tablets - just do it. Good luck, mate ! Edited September 24, 2013 by Blackbriar
