An Eye Opener At The Dentist

Recommended Posts

Yup

I had to attend the dental hospital last night, in Edinburgh (screaming agony ! cost me a day at driven partridge, that's how bad it was !)

Anyway. Off I trot, with the good Mrs Aboot driving me up there.

Arrives, and registers.

Now while I`m sitting there whining like a bitch, somit else registers. I`m the only Brit in the place ! and it`s busy !

The place was full of foreigners. So anyway, while I`m waiting, the Mrs takes note that when they all come out from being treated, they all just pay the minimum £5

So off I go to suffer a slow death, and when it`s all over, I have to pay the full NHS charge, and I`m the only bugger that has while we`ve been in !

And to top it all,,,,,

My dentist was Polish ! no shit !

Bloody disgrace No wonder I can`t afford to get a job back onshore,, I have half of Europe to subsidise ! Even through the pain I still managed to tell some moaning twat to piss off back home if the queue is taking too long to go down.

Oh by the way ,,, instead of bitching about it,,, did you enquire why they only paid a fiver,,, or did you just moan,, and take it on the chin,,,lol

Minimum payment if yer on benefits apparently. I only had the pain treated for 20 bucks, my dentist bill to get the actual work done will be £300

And given the tax I pay, I`m f***ing entitled to moan about it ! :D

I noticed on the front page of the Lincoln echo is the NHS is desperately searching for 50 forigen nurses to make up the shortfall in the UK. I just graduated from a health and social sciences degree and I worked with/friends with a good lot of the 150 enrolled nursing students...just at my university...per year. Now X that by the number of Uni's in the UK doing nursing courses theres got to be a good 2000 brand new british nurses per year coming out?! where the hell is the shortfall!?

I had the toothache offshore for the 2 weeks I was there.

No dentist, but a medic. If it had been as bad as it was yesterday, they would just fire some morphine into you and get you on the next chopper back to the beach.

If need be, they get a chopper out whatever the time.

Last emergency dental treatment, I had, was in Las Vegas. Toothache. Checked me out and gave a silly figure on a piece of paper. We haggled. It went down. Long story short for about £100 he fixed the problem and ton more that the NHS had failed to. I was seen to instantly.

NHS dentists are shit, IMHO. Any routine stuff I'll wait until I'm abroad.
