After twenty years of showing terriers paying to get in to a game fair and stuck at the terrier ring with two kids , we stopped showing the dogs and started going to see the gamefair i enjoyed it but its just too dear and to repetitive now , you can get the gear you want far cheaper on the internet and if these people that run the fairs dont wake up to that fact there on a slidey slope

Come on you were fed up judges trying to bend/wind you up with your Terriers :tongue2: but organisers need to see how they have let their side go stale money before what we want and expect to find :toast:

Aye it was a laugh in those days but you must of learned about judging terriers from a book ?. :tongue2::laugh::laugh:

Hands on experience still praticing ;):victory: still reading and learning from others lol

I remember being at this show when it was at the other venue, standing watching the Lurchers, it was a warm day, and there were a few lads striped to the waist, beer cans in the back pocket doing a lot of loud swearing.

Two women turned up with Kids to look at the dogs, but didn't stay long.

hate to say it, but this was the only part of the show, that this cursing was going on.

so we can be our worst enemy.

Yeah, saw the signs as well. But no show....

There was a SACs tent and dog agility on the terrier show area from last year that wasn't that busy.

Plenty room to be seen where a Terrier and Lurcher show could have been.

Pervect venue to ditch the Scottish Hound show at Langholm and come back to Drumlanrig and have the hounds and beagles on the Saturday and terriers and lurchers on the sunday. Just my opinion.

Thought the rest of the show was very good though. Hats of to the organisers for that.
