i know most lurchers are better trained than most pets / designer type mutts, i know most lurcher owners understand canine behaviour and mentality better than joe bloggs dog walkers but the bottom line is our dogs are our responsibility

I'm in awe of some of the dog training on here.

 

Dogs that as pup's were put back on a lead with an amazing intuition that you were about to bump into someone, before it happened, and had 100% recall, 100% of the time, having no interest in any other people, or dogs in any way, and immediatly returning to heal like a trail grade spaniel

 

The man had his dogs off leads in a field, when other folk popped up and the pup had an excited moment of wanting to run over and play. . . . he's a pup. . . . that's what they (often) do.

 

Granted it's understandable that the girls got freaked out. . . . .although I think half the problem is so many people who own pet dogs don't have the first fecking clue about canine behaviour or how to read them.

 

Now Ray wasn't in the 'right' so to speak, but the way some folk go on, you'd swear they were ceaser fecking milan.

When we were out in the mountains the other day some tit with his family had a large German shepard off lead, it walked up to Trev who was wagging his tail (he's well socialised) and the fuccking thing started a ruck luckily Trev was having none and gave it back. The pissing Catalan tw@t just shrugged his shoulders after beating his dog with the lead no wounds on Trev but ffs why do people have POTENTIALLY aggressive dogs off the lead without a muzzle

 

Same in the city, people thinks it's cute when their potlicking shites start barking and screaming their bollocks off at Trev how cute would it be if he decided to tear the wee fuucks apart

your right mate, a gsd is a big strong dog and if they are aggressive like you say, they can be a very dangerous animal if they attack. Iam well aware of what Buck could do if he was nasty when mature.But like ive said few times on here he is as soft as shit, he loves people+ dogs he as great temp.He was just acting like any friendly pup just wanted to play, but as i said on here he'sjust to big+strong ,so from now on i will be bit more careful when out with him.

Reminds me of a time i took the bullxsharp pie to the local park on the lead, as his recall around dogs, he doesnt know isnt great just wants to play . walked in and a women had a big built dog f**k knows what it was big thing though. I shouted up to the woman whos dog it was "is the dog alright " she gave no reply the dog by this time was closer hackels up tail high up in the air shouted again " do us a favour love throw the dog on the lead " again she ignored anyway her dog ran and attempted to go for the bullxsharp pie soft c*w got the shock of her life my dog gripped it sqaure on the neck any signs of aggression and he wont take shit luckly for her told him to drop and he does as soon as he let go the dog got a boot and it scappered away screaming down the path and didnt look like it was planning on coming back as she passed me she didnt say anything or attemt to fetch this dog she just carried on asif nothing happened.

 

Thats what annoys me about dog walkers in public places every dog should be under control on lead every dog has a off day just like people once out the way off lead they go.out of curtisy i put my dogs on a lead if people or a dog appears not every dogs a 100% on recall so put a long line on till it is otherwise it never will be as it ill find its own rewards when off the lead out of control which are better than what you have in your pocket.

 

all boils down to control of your own dog if everyone done it there would be allot less problems with dogs full stop
