Laid In Wait With The Raider

Went out to night and the rifle of choice was the raider single shot 22 (just because the crow sport is out of commission due the scope is away back to the manufacturers to be fixed) once at the farm set my self up and checked the zero and she was spot on at 30 yards.Then went for a wander most of the rabbits were off as soon as they sensed me so i found a place to lay in wait for them. About 10 min later they came back out one was about 34 yards away so with the rifle set at 30 yards i was just off cross hair,s and placed the shot just left of its eye and let one go and with a back flip the sort that would win a gold medal in the Olympics it fell and it did not even kick once. I picked it up and headed back to the car had my self a drink and a fag(i know bad for my health)then went for another wander saw one in one of the fields but it saw me to and ran but it kept stopping so off i went after it all the way across the field it was about 10 yards away from it hole when it stopped. I new this shot had to be right or it would dive down its hole so i set the by-pod and lay down to take the shot once again.It was about 40 yards away placed the mil-dot where i wanted the shot to go and squeezed the trigger and it just fell over as i picked it up and turned around a woody about 30 yards away was sitting in the tree,s but i could not see its head for the branches so i placed the cross hair on the neck of the woody and let one off it fell with a thud to the ground.Not very big rabbits but will still be tasty once spiced up and placed on the Barby. Day light was fading by the time i got back to the car and as i had left the battery,s for my lamps at home that's where i headed well chuffed and with a smile on my face thanks for taking the time to read this and atvbmac
