Cortisone Injection

i have an oppointment at the hostpital for this injection into my toes through arthiritus,has anyone had it done,im not scared one bit honest :cray:if iwas getting this injection anywhere else instead of the toes i think id be alright as i hate my feet being touched and just thinking about a needle going into a sensitive part.im going in half an hour :icon_eek:

very painful mate, had them over the years in my elbow. Feck me the 1st time, doc said just lay your arm flat, will hurt few secs, he said your strong lad it wont bother you. Well jab went in thats ok not to bad but when he pumped the stuff in christ it felt like he hit with a house brick lol .After that 1 he put somting else in the needle to hold the sting back a bit. I always think if they (doc) got to have them they would act the same as us. :yes:

i was abit worried tbh ray im not scared of needles as i have to inject once a week by myself,but f**k me when seen the needle he was using it was like the ones they take your bood with and the nurse saying just look away,but afte the first injection it wasnt to bad but my toes are all puffed up with the flued they put in :thumbs:

My grandfather had that. He's dead now.

 

Seriously, I don't like my toes being held either, but it could be worse...eyes for example.

still here walshie :D i was made up i didnt jump when they touched my feet with that needle he had,,,pheww :laugh:

the doc asked me if i wanted local anistetic but said that would sting more so just said just jab away it could have been worse,,,how long do these injections last?

when i played rugby i popped a rib out ...........use too have club doctor inject me with it ,..........but by fook did it hurt after the game when it would ware off........used to try and numb it with alchohol.....then lol
