Frann 882
is that something to cook bears on Thats what I thought when I clicked this thread
Attack Fell Terrier 864
I think Gryls comes across as a decent bloke. He saves the rattles off rattle snakes for his son. To think like that whilst he's out in the middle of no where shows he's a decent chap and is a real family man.
lurchergrrl 1,441
We watch him and really like him My kids are 7 and 9, and are all cub scouts. He's meant to be arriving at their next camp in a helicopter - one of my daughters in particular thinks the sun shines out of him, she's mega excited. I asked if I could go too but I'm not allowed lol. He does a lot for scouts which imo is an invaluable organisation for kids. Plus he's entertaining even when he's a bit of a boob

lurchergrrl 1,441
I do like Ray. The programs he did in Canada were outstanding, made me so homesick I nearly cried. Bear is cool too tho, just totally different.
Paid 935
Got to agree on jonny english, certainly a bit simple that one. Sort of agree with Tiny too, bear is a bit of a tit. But fair play to him, made some good money for his family.
socks 32,253
21 TA SAS will train with 22 on rare occasions but only in a support role the SAS don't train collectively as normal army units do as each troop has its own specialised training and each 4 man team within that troop will train as a unit also ...... There is no doubting that bear grills is a fit bloke a very good climber and a decent parachutist BUT he aint no survival expert and some of the things he gets up to on that show makes me cringe .... But the kids love him he does a lot for charity so who cares ..... If you don't like him like me don't watch ...... Trouble is he only lives a mile or two from me so I see him regularly lol ..........

Ray Mears is the man and is the best, but his show is different.
Born Hunter 17,965
On the subject of survival tv shows. Has anybody watched Dual Survival? Two yanks, ones a naturalist and ones ex forces. I like it, two very conflicting survivalists. Typical throw em into a bit of a shitter and film them over 2-3 days getting out of it. It's obviously all pre planned but nothing fixed or stupid like Grills can be and a bit more exciting than Ray Mears. Raymondo is still THE man though! The hippy Lundine comes across as a bit arrogant and full of himself sometimes but it's good to watch.

The only time i've thought WTF is when Dave rips his arm open on purpose to show you how to cauterize with black power! Fecking mental twat!

DIDO.1 22,865
ray mears all the way!!! tho bear has been there and done it and continues to support and encourge the young. Like everyone says if you want real survival his show is cringe worthy! the TA SAS cannot be slagged off though, not many can pass their selection and they still do jobs we can only dream about and do it in their spare fecking time aswell!!!
