Gaz_1989 9,539
I live on the outskirts of a town and there is a small woods behind me. I've just been sat having my brew in the living room and heard quite clearly a fox calling. I went to the back door with the dog and plain as day it was sat in my garden eating a brown and white rabbit (presumably the neighbours pet) under my daughters swing. I opened the back door and my lurcher bombed straight after it (I tried calling her back and explained that its illegal but she didnt listen!). My garden is about 50' long so by the time they reached the fence she was on its arse but it scaled the fence like it was nothing. This fence is 7' plus the gravel board! I will give her her dues. My bitch tried to jump it and was growling going mad. But she had no chance. This fox was easily the size of a border collie. It was fecking huge. Wandering around gardens at 7am. Whoever banned keeping these under control is a fool. Gaz

bobcullen79 1,495
Loads of them round here, had two shagging in the garden about a week ago, I chased them and they went over the fence together tied!!! Then just carried on on a neighbours shed roof. Their a pain in the arse. My dogs know when theres one in the garden and then go mental all hours of the night. If their not after my chickens, their shiting everwhere and the dogs are rolling in it. Ive snared a couple, but they just keep coming.

Average fox about 14lb, average collie about 35-40lb?
bobcullen79 1,495
Loads near me and live in a built up area, and Friday night there was a badger walking down the street. That's a first for me! Common place round here. Its all the building their doing, the animals have nowhere to go. You get Roe walking the streets early in the morning round here, albeit near to the wooded areas and golfcourse. Picked up a few road kill Roe on the road they have just put through the woods.. WILF 49,741
Urban areas are literally lifting with foxes, playing fields are a good place to spot them and there will often be several on there. The only trouble is that I once heard of a lad who ran a few in such areas and his dog had ran one into a front garden which I am sure would make life a little "interesting" !!! This same chap had also lamped more than a few late night night dog walkers!!

RubyTex 1,957
Hardly see any round here, seen two in about 4 years! Which is good because i feed the wild population of pheasants and woodcock and can only snare foxes round here. One of the neighbours said she'd seen a fox out the back but i'm always out and about and haven't seen or flushed anything. Might have been that fox red terrier a fella walks
LaraCroft 863
They are certainly getting more bold. I woke mid morning a couple of months ago when the chooks were all kicking off in the garden, sat up in bed, looked out of the window and saw a fox dragging a chicken up the garden. Never left the house so fast in my life. Not sure who was more shocked - the fox looking up to see a pissed off, naked, screaming red head running straight for him - or the neighbour, who hearing the commotion came into the garden to find me standing there holding a stressed out chicken strategically to cover myself up !
