NEWKID 29,047
I find it hard at times to see where our taxes go, and I have a good old moan like most. This week changed my moany mind....... Even if for a short time.... The wife has a few health issues at the moment and to be honest with 1 problem our local hospital did not know how to deal with it, so she was refered to st Thomas hospital, in London........ What a difference..... The specialist team who dealt with her were amazing and the leading professor in this field spent half an hour with her ( along with 14 other docs!!!!)..... From the nurses to the prof these were some of the best people.... She's already seeing a difference through there methods... The hospital itself is where Florence Nightengale worked, and is huge.... With live music in the main corridor lol.. There was a harp player in there one day, unreal... Just a massive thank you to all of those who make a difference, I think we can sometimes forget, as we moan and groan, how much we have to be thankful for in this country... Cheers

johnny boy68 11,726
Hope your missus is feeling better and continues too, theres some top medical professionals in this country and through no fault of there own they get dragged down by the abysmal under-funding of our health authorities, glad you and your missus got some well deserved attention.

Malt 379
Glad your misses is getting the care she needs mate! Took my local hospital 5 years of going round in circles, repeated operations and head scratching before they admitted defeat and sent me on to somewhere with more expertise on knees.. 12 months down the line I'm on the waiting list for the treatment I should have been waiting for 6 years ago.. NEWKID 29,047
Thanks Johnny, your right about the funding, I had a long chat with one of the doctors and they struggle to get much money for their research etc.... The country in a lot of ways is going to the dogs, but this trip gave us a little faith..
