And without us providing the toilet and security public health will not allow camping at all. In addition because of the idiots who started the fires there are now security/nusiance/insurance implications and when we meet to discuss this we may have to recommend not to have camping in the field again. We have still to meet to take this decision but if we do it will be on the basis of it being done on a secure basis and possibly in a different location. And that will involve campers registering with us in advance so we can make sure we know who is camping. What we do not need is idiots like you spreading misinformation about the camping facilities on offer or that it is perfectly acceptable behaviour for terrier & lurcher owners to burn other people's property!!!.

 

Anyone wishing to camp at the Birr Fair in future will indeed have to contact the organ grinder ( either Philip Lawton or myself) not a silly primate like yourself!

Albert are you 100% ceertain it was lurcher/terrier men who caused this damage, I went through the thread and cant find anywhere where it states that lurcher/terrier men were behind this act. It would be sad for the lads who enjoy the over night stay to have this withdrawn due to fools acting the maggot.

Yes, they had dogs with them and the stench of smoke. We are deciding whether we allow camping in that field or perphaps move it to another location - there is an alternative. But if we do allow camping it will be through booking in advance. And I can assure FF that we will not tolerate or encourage hay or straw burning!
