graham4877 1,181
THEY would not even need to ask ianb they would just go to the company who runs the server, and rip all dater from it!
scothunter 12,609
Oh I think they would need to ask him first. Well ask as on serve him with a court order. Face book wiki have went through similar. Anyway the cops have the best hackers at thier disposal and could do it without giving the game away, if they were really that interested.
j1985 1,984
But then they can't use it as evidence surely as it was gained by hacking ?
scothunter 12,609
Yea thsys also correct, but don't you think they still do it. Gives them the incentive to find other evidence which can be produced in court.
leegreen 2,255
Why would he have to answer anything, when they can have a look for themselves. Ian B isn't any ones keeper, this is the internet and people are answerable for their own input.
graham4877 1,181
the'd find what they want on a hack then get warrant.. the law makes it up as they go along
tegater 789
My guess is that when you set up a website like this, you have some responsibility and that is why we have moderators, to filter out the stuff that isnt good and give people warnings. By doing that Ian can demonstrate that he is trying to run a legal site and that anybody posting illegal topics is doing so at there own stupid risk. As far as the police getting evidence as to who is making these posts, nobody can hide behind an avatar, as I am sure Ian or whoever has access to IP adresses, will have to comply with any request by the police, if a criminal offence has been commited. I dont for one minute suspect that there is a copper sat at scotland yard studying every post written on here and every other hunting website, but they may have to react to any evidence received.
