Greengrass 208
We've got the thread about the GB squad under achieving, so what's others opinions about the Chinese swimmer who found 5 seconds on her previous personal best and did the last 50 metres of the swim in her event faster than the men did. Something not right there, 1/4 second or 1/2 second improvement maybe but 5 f*****g seconds !

Born Hunter 17,945
Ian Thorpe said he did the same at her age. I'll tell ya whats a disgrace, supporting an event that praises sporting excellence and then as soon as that is discovered crying drugs cheat! A sportsman would have kept their gob shut untill proof was on the table. Sour grapes in the yank camp in my opinion.

I know the experts think that is impossible but it doesnt seem unreasonable, particularly when it is already her own record she broke.
Ideation 8,217
On a serious note, they probably scour the whole country, which is fecking HUGE, to find someone who has potential to be very good, and then make them devote their whole life to training and winning and if they lose, they will probably get bummed with a rusty whisk. Also they probably pack her full of legal, and fairly undetectable herbal compounds.

scothunter 12,609
That's the thing jai, country's like china And Russia its got f**k all to do with the games. It's a power thing for the world stage. We Brits didn't really think like that, we always honoured the fair play rule. Even today I'd say Brits still have that mentality.
