whippet 99 2,613
looks like but youll never know i would put money on it................... Bit daft really I probably has no saluki in it at all just looks like it See some collies with big strong heads does that mean there's bull thrown in at some point??????? No I don't think so lol and the comment about they don't even know there own breeding but yet you do from a picture, wise up fool Well said mate they have nothing better to do than find faults lol why the feck would i just want to find faults, how many people buy dogs who havent even seen the sire or the dam, they just take there word for it. they dont even care what the breeding is all they see is pound notes , ok may be im wrong about the breeding from a photo. i didnt say for sure but id take a gamble and put money on it. trouble is so many dogs get passed around these days , no one got a fooking clue what they got, i think shes got a bit of this and that in her. people buy dogs because they like what they see, unless you have seen generations back , you will never be sure . alot of breeding these days are for pound notes, and not for welfare of the dog. trouble is its easy money for peddlars. and they will tell you anything for a sale. how many people do you meet at shows who aint quite sure of the make up of there own dog...............................................may be i should be a fool and just look a pup up on the computer and just take there word for it..............like alot of people do. whippet 99 were you not the one that said when i put a photo of my whippet beddy that there must be something else in that ITO MUCH MUSCLE IN HER for a beddie whippet 100%beddy whippet IF YOUR GOING TO QUERY ME MATE GET YOUR ACCUSATIONS RIGHT, I SAID SHES VERY STRONG FOR A WHIPPET X BEDDY , LOOKS LIKE THERE COULD BE SOMETHING ELSE IN THERE. LIKE GREY HOUND , SHES A STRONG DOG , SHES VERY STRONG I WOULD OF PASSED HER FOR A GREY/BEDDY. MY POST BEEN PLAYING ON YER MIND ALL DAY AND THIS IS YOUR COME BACK, YOU NEED TO GET A LIFE PAL................... Quote Link to post

iWorkChihuahuas 52
many lurcher pups have 'dropped ears' like a saluki when young, my saluki greyhound looked to have dropped ears, as he got to about4/5 month they perked back, i like how your all judging saying they dont know the breeding when yous dont know yourself............ they could of been fussing the pup, so the pup uses its ears, and then they get the pic, who knows Quote Link to post

stewie 3,387
So would I! I was looking for the best place for a friend of mine to advertise his pups, but when I saw the amount of lurchers for sale on that site I couldn't believe how many there are. Twice as many as there were a few years ago, which is probably the last time I spent a minute or two perusing those sites. And look at how many young dogs/saplings there are for sale! if your "mates" dogs were any good then maybe you wouldn't need to advertise,,,,, Quote Link to post
vixen 528
Looking at the pic i would have said theres bedlington in the pup with them ears..........but i suppose with any crossbreed you can have traits or conformation you never expected, thrown back from generations previous Quote Link to post

skycat 6,174
So would I! And look at how many young dogs/saplings there are for sale! if your "mates" dogs were any good then maybe you wouldn't need to advertise,,,,, When someone keeps themselves to themselves, and they don't go on internet forums, their dogs won't be seen by all and sundry and bigged up on the net. I can honestly say that the bitch is one of the best day time dogs I've ever seen, and is still knocking over 4s and 5s at nearly 7 years old, on big land as well as trappy, wooded and truly horrible ground, right through Dec, Jan and Feb. Unfortunately, most people who run very good dogs tend to breed their own, so aren't up for buying in very much. I can understand why people would be suspicious of the qualities of an 'unknown' bitch, being as there are so many muppets in the game these days, and so many substandard dogs being bred. Incidentally, why did you say "mates" dogs> did you think it was my own litter? I wish! Quote Link to post
