Bonny terrier mate,

Aslong as it does the job for you and your happy with it mate, they dont have to be all marked up to have worked plenty, Some dogs are clever and seem to have the nack for not getting bitten too often and still keeping the quarry in its place

There must be some real talented dog lads on here, able to judge exactly how a dog will work from just one picture, impressive.

The dog is a single handed worker by the looks, and going by what ive seen & read he's a genuine dog that you can dig to a couple of times per week, owned by a genuine fella. Whats not to like? &

i can understand that, i just felt like putting up a pic after seeing that daily mail article, there are others than us watching this site, including norwegian anti-hunters who tend to believe that th

as long as i do my job the badgers stay put untill the dog is lifted, only time he has been overrun is when i have dug down too close to the badger.

the thing is you dont need a hard terrier to dig badgers, a bay and stay dog is all that is needed.

Surely it all depends on what type of soil you are digging?if soft soil the quarry would dig on?

its not the fight of the dog but the fight in the dog but as long as you get what you drop the dog in for then you cant ask any more of the dog saying that its not my type of terrier but hey you fed and work him

if they dig on he´ll go for their arses and force them to turn around.

we do have a lot of clay in this area, so of course it could make the job easier for him.

many digs has the dog had mate?

Nobody said ye need a hard dog but ye need something more than a dog that stands of a foot or two and ye need a dog that is prepared to mix and hold something if quarry trys to push past or does not want to stay in that paticular place or even educated quarry my opinion simply looking at the dog and from what ye have said is that dog would not cope with large places or with the above quarry,i think it would spend all day following stuff round and i think it would soon walk but it suits you so thats what count's
