..and he's supposed to be in charge of the country...?

I have no idea how you could actually do that. Taking kids places is such hassle that you notice as soon as they are not there. They must have been a bit smashed surely, wonder if they had driven home lol

As PJ said above, it's not just the couple who were there it was the whole circus which is required to protect the family of the prime minister at all times. We're used to hearing about laptops and documents containing sensitive information being left on trains and at cafes, but your 8 year old daughter?

Personally, I don't think it's that bad....... I mean, my folks forgot me when I was that age, lol, and I've heard a few stories of other parents doing the same. I can understand it, two cars, a bit of confusion, mistakes are made...... especially in a comfortable social situation like that where your 'guard' is down.

Now if he accidentally triggered the tridents while trying to text his missus then that might be a little too careless.

Did your parents have a whole host of trained protection officers to ensure that this sort of thing didn't happen? Besides, a person in his position should never ever have his guard down in public where his family is concerned IMO. If he does, he's very naieve..

Maybe Malt, I just think that sometimes 'we' are too hard on politicians about some things that are just part of being human when we should only be concerned with there actions as Britains Leaders. I know the real world doesn't work that way but to me incidents like the one reported aren't a big deal. I'm not jumping in support of Cameron here, just stating my personal opinion on the matter.

I agree with you about his protection team though, they were on duty and should have been 110% on top of everything, no excuses for lack of concentration or mistakes. In a situation like that they have more control of events than the PM and he would trust in their ability to at least acount for everyone I would have thought.
