What a load of utter bollocks!. You dont half spout some rubbish!. Time after time you abuse your position of moderator to come on here and ruin a thread with your lies and shit. I, for one, am sick o

id knock them on the head fella they are turning your brain to mush

One of these might be better for a pot smoker.

Every time I see a stoat chase a bunny and able to catch it I wonder why an effort isn't made to domesticate them, I am always very impressed with their speed and strength. I understand the ferrets lack of chasing helps fill the pot, but now hunting is primarily a sport I dream of owning one. Can you imagine having a stoat that would recall like a dog? What more could you need for bunny bashing :D

On the other end of the spectrum I think a domesticated bear would be amazing for replacing other working dogs for their sense of smell, strength (for rescue work digging through rubble etc) and not many would try and get past a security bear.

Yes I am bored on a Friday afternoon waiting for a weekend of special cigarettes, but is it just me? I wouldn't want to replace the dog, but just hypothetically doesn't anyone dream of a cheetah or a jackal or otherwise?

You sure you've not started early? :hmm:

And if you did try to train a pack of Stoats, some f***er would only kill them, stuff them (very badly!) and post pics of them on here asking how much they were worth!

Have heard some Arabs have trained and Hunted Cheetahs, would love to see it put into practice.

a guy where I shoot always used to give me his old shooting and sporting Magazines, remember reading a article about a guy who hand reared a stoat! there was a few pictures of it probably as tame as a Ferret which got me thinking wouldn't it be good if you could get out and do somthing with it? no idea if you can manage them and use them as the same princible as Ferrets?

There are clips on youtube but also have a look at the 'magnum falconry' dvd, they hunt with a few at the end but i think it might be in hungary and a slightly more modern approach than what I have seen online

A friend of a friend's terrier jumped into a stream and pulled out a baby weasel they are hand rearing, I will try and find out what happened with that because I have never seen a hand reared wild mustelid of any kind. They would be like a cross between a ferret and a whippet, and better than guarding than any of simo's dogs too probably since they have small teeth

Has anyone thought of domesticating/training a pike?. I have a dream of training one by slapping it around the face with a photo of the fish i want it to catch, kind of make it mad at that fish!. Then i could gaffer tape it to a skateboard at night so it could whip around the yard guarding the bull cross because those pike have big teeth!. Could it be done?
