Lurcher world what a f*****g joke. Went to Burghley game fair yesterday, racing went on all day finally finished at 3.30 showing was supposed to start at 1 but started just after racing finished and what about this for a judge? Class 2 judges choice, had all the dogs in the ring, walked round, checked them all then the lad on the gate went into the tent who was taking the money, friend of the judge shot into the ring at last minute, judge didnt even look at the dog and placed it 2nd to qualify for judges choice end of season. How does that one work out?

I've judged at a couple of lurcherworld shows and i can assure you that the best dog won at the class's i judged, Thats how it should be in my opinion. After the last show i judged at (thoresby gamefair) i decided not to judge anymore lurcher class's for a while, as the condition of some of the dogs was embarrasing. I even had a dog in one class with fleas.

The racing also carried on and the judging should have started at 1pm but didn't start until after 3!!

but its whos on the end of the lead that wins not the dogs

Well it certainly wasn't that way in the class's i judged mate i can assure you of that. I wouldn't beable to live with myself, and at the end of the day the people have paid there entrance fee to the show and paid to enter the class, therefore there dogs should be judged fairly and honestly.

Anyone involved with the running of any show shouldn't be allowed to enter there dogs in the show.

It totally sickens me and makes my piss boil when i see it happening and it does at alot of the shows.

Same happened in the racing today one guy was a bit late letting his dog loose and was well beaten he was given a rerun and won he claimed he wasn"t ready but everyone saw his hand go up when asked by the starter if both dogs were ready
