Buch 145
Yer lets all cheer for the tanker drivers "yay for strikers". There only in it for themselves theyve got a strangle hold on the business with wages as high as £45 grand and because businesses are having the audacity to try and hire other people there spitting there dummies out. People think its some kind of revolution, you need actual REAL hardship for a revolution. You need people dieing in the streets. You need people getting thrown away in cells to be torchered. Not because some fat trucker cant afford his new BMW this year. Why are people still moaning about cuts? ... THE COUNTRY HAS NO MONEY! Honestly some one you are so blinded by your hate for the Torries it makes you sounds stupid. In the industreal revolution Unions meant something. They fought for the rights that we all have (but i bet most dont use), for that IM thankful. What do they do these days? The cause trouble, they try to get there own back because the nasty torries f****d up there shit 30 years go. Realy the question is .. WHY are you all supporting some one who is paid £45 grand (which i would bet is considerably more that 95% of the people on this board) when all there doing is making your life harder? You can kid yourselves all you want but the reasons they are doing it is pure and simple, self interest. Why SHOULDNT the job be open to more people? Why SHOULDNT random joe bloggs lorry driver have a chance at making some real money driving a fuel tanker?
scothunter 12,609
The country had no money Don't f*****g stop them squandering what we do have left on foreign aid and stupid schemes to juggle the unemployment figures. Not even gonna touch on the over inflated salaries of politicians. Who IMO aren't worth 50 quid a week. Yes the Tories walked all over us in the 80s and are doing so yet again. Bit much calling us stupid cause we don't share your confidence in the Tories. When u think they last struggled for a job or cash? I would say your comment on fat truckers and bmws is pretty stupid, but hey we're all entitled to our opinion.

Lucky to get £10 an hour for some of the jobs round here, which is still a decent wage but that's not the point is it? f*****g 'real' hardship open your eyes pal! Buch 145
I didnt say you were stupid i said that the anti tory stuff sounds stupid, if it come across any different my mistake. The reason politicians get paid (even thought their all millionaires, including labour) is because if they didnt get paid the average bloke who wanted to get things changed wouldnt be able to and it would mean only people with a second income would be able to get into politics. We live in a democracy, if you dont like politicians get stuff changed, vote differantly, get like minded people together, make a new party, George Galloway (as much as i hate the prick) started his own party fought for the things he believed in and now has a seat in parliment. Dont sit on a hunting forum moaning when i bet alot on here didnt vote anyway. I personaly dont know any tanker drivers but from what i understand average wage was £45 grand, if im wrong then im wrong but £37 grand is hardly to be sniffed and and i bet its still more than 95% of people on here. The pretext is health and saftey but whats actualy happening is "untrained" drivers are doing the tanker driving for some companys for less than £45 or £37 grand (or what ever they are on) so the "trained" drivers are looseing some work. They want this to stop, and think its acceptable for the country to be brought to a standstill to maintain there saleries. That and of course the unions want to try and felx abit of muscle and put pressure on the goverment. I dont think its acceptable for some one on nearly double my wage to moan they dont get paid enough and then make my life considerably more difficult because they want it to stay like that. Put it another way some the soldiers who could be doing some of the driving if they do strike will be on nearly 1/3 of the striking drivers wages. They have a a good, steady job thats well paid but its just never enough for some people, if its so bad and dangerous why dont they quit and let some one else do it while they go drive for Tesco. Im not angry at all, but i do think the countries going down the shitter and i think its because theres no work ethic any more. People think there owned something but they blame it on immigrants/the goverment/ect ect. People think they have a shit life, get a on plane to Somalia then and walk around dead and dieing kids who, no matter what they do, dont have a drop to drink or a bite to eat. And finaly you keep saying "there going to do it again", well guess what labour already did. They banned hunting (which id have thought is the reason most people are on here) and they f****d the country up the arse with the economy. Torries cant be any worse than that can they ... I don't know where you live mush but this isn't a democracy... Just because it says it on paper doesn't mean that's the society we live in. As far as 'getting on a plane' goes, you sound very naive. Are you that stupid that you believe Somalia etc couldn't have been sorted by now, with the billions in foreign aid they have recieved? No offence, but to me your just another bloke who believes that there is some hope in that disgusting snakes pit they call the house of commons... Keep dreaming and wake up.
PoshPikey 560
So half the country is desperate for a job and those who have one want more cash for doing it. They are the ones who need to wake up and smell the coffee.

They are the ones who need to wake up and smell the coffee. There's jobs out there... I'm 23 and was kicked out of school twice and never had a problem. As said before (and I'm no expert), it's not the money that's the issue. It's the fact that their job is being subcontracted to drivers who aren't qualified, so the big companies can make a mint. So assuming they take a pay cut to keep they're jobs, do you think any of the extra profits the oil companies make will be reflected in cheaper fuel for the public ? or is it only ok for the big corporations to demand as much as they can get ? scothunter 12,609
Why shouldn't they want more money? Those that govern us are the true ones to know how bad our finances are. However I don't see them refusing thier salary or it's increases. Thing is the Tories ate rebound for drastic cuts. Andcthecsad thing is they don't even get it. That's twice IDS had draughted in cuts and then back tracked cause its unworkable. As for this nations work ethics, well IMO it's a cop out and not nearly as bad as is made out. So all those millions on the file and the ones leaving school only desire is to live on state handouts. I'm not buying that for one sec. Notice soldiers always come into the equation when it comes to comparison. Well they do have a tough job, more so in the current conflicts and I would agree they should get more than they do, but come on they aren't press ganged into the service. They knew the wage structure and also the danger involved. Thing is some lads that's what they desire to do.its not perfect by a long shot that's for sure, but to think those in Westminster are doing all this just for our benefit is pretty naive.
staffs riffraff 1,068
Just had a good luck at the ukip parties website and if they got in power and implemented a third of what they this county would be a hell of a lot better off. It seems to me like alot of their policies are common sense and should be in place already. Anyone else know any parties that could make a difference? http://www.ukip.org/
PlasticJock 539
@scothunter Completely agree about your views on soldiers. Most are mercenaries, this queen and country crap doesn't wash anymore as it doesn't exist. Good blokes, but using them as a comparison is naive at best.
