gnasher16 31,602
Sorry if it sounds a daft question.......but what exactly are the qualities that a Whippet could add to a Bull/Greyhound cross that the Greyhound doesnt already possess ?.....Seen a few good looking athletic 1/2 Grey 1/4 Bull 1/4 Whippet crosses lately its just got me intrigued as to what the Whippet actually adds to the mix. Malt 379
Suppose it might help that a working whippet is more easily found than a pure working greyhound so it's more a case of adding proven blood to the mix while not loosing too much speed in the resulting cross.. Quote Link to post
TOMO 29,479
apart from the things mentioned,,, it brings the weight/bone size down,,,, wich is an advantage to the feet,,less injurys 1 Quote Link to post

I don,t know if its just me,but ive never understood the need to add Whippet to the mix,if i was concentrating on a bunny basher, perhaps, but for a jukel that was attempting to get anywhere near its potential in the field, with all that could be in front of it,adding whippety is a backward step. j1985 1,984
Here's one bred how you said Gnasher, doing very well so far at 10 months. Looking forward to next season. 25.5" tts. I think adding whippet gives more chance of getting racey offspring ? 1 Quote Link to post
