what .22 are you using?

HI All

 

I will be buying a new .22 rimfire soon as my old BSA is getting tired

I am goggle eyed looking at reviews etc so I am hoping the kind folks here can give me your opinions on the guns your using or have used

 

anyone using synthetic stocks ? are they worth having ?

I have a weihrauch HW60 in .22 which I think is a great rifle, It very well made and the stock is beautiful and the trigger is a lovely 2 stage unit, most of my shooting friends have Anschutz which are great guns too.

 

Everyone on here seems to have CZ's which they seem to rate, I had one and decided it wasn't for me. As above it all comes down to what you fancy and your budget.

 

I also used to have a Ruger 10/22 semi-auto, I liked the gun but I found that it was not consistent enough even though I kept it spotlessly clean.

Ive previously owned a 10/22 and a cz452 but now own a 1981 built brno model 2 which i prefer overall. Build quality seems a little better and with it being so old the bolt is very smooth.

I use a new model Browning T-Bolt with a 16" carbine barrel and wooden stock.

 

Very smooth gun to shoot, very fast to reload and as accurate as anything else on the market.

 

I think I paid £475 for it.

an old remmington fieldmaster pump action. this takes .22 shorts as well but i never use them. the length is a bit much with the moderator on and i can feel a change coming soon

Old BRNO Model 2 similar to the one pictured above, lovely old rifle that shoots nice and accurate out to about yards. Maybe farther but thats my comfortable limit.

cz 452 style nikel synthetic, im clumsy as fook so it suites me better although im on my second synthetic stock

CZ 452 with synthetic, no better gun for the money.

I might trade up to a 455 cause I like thumbhole stocks, but TBH, the 452 is unbeatable. the best tool in the box as far as I`m concerned.

Used cz brno all my life, just bought a cz silhouette, superb is all i can say, i can knock a gnats bollock off at 60 yards every time. Shoot every bit as accurate as any anshutz or sako you can buy.
