BenjaminCadd 109
Normaly i would pay around £5 a Ferret or normaly get them free in return for some ferret food or a favour, but i went to a cattle market this tuesday and they had about 10 ferrets for sale so i fought i would get a new Hob to bring in some fresh blood, but they were bidding up to £15-20 and its the same elsewhere on notice boards etc, am i being tight or has anyone else noticed people want more for ferrets now they are seen as cute little pets? The one 8,585
If your organised and bring in fresh kitts in the summer there often free or for a token price .but at this time of the year the price seems to take off . But i wouldn't be buying a older ferret now as i think you would just be buying some body else's problems 1 Quote Link to post

Malt 379
Most I've ever paid for a ferret kit was £7 at the Welsh game fair a few years back. Other than that I've paid a share of £10 for three jill kits, the rest have been free. When I bred a litter a few years back, I never asked for money for any of them & only took the odd fiver when it was insisted. Quote Link to post
johnny boy68 11,726
Most I've ever charged is a £5. Quote Link to post

Country Joe 1,411
Lowther game fair was great place to buy a ferret and bring in new blood, i used to take a litter of kits sell them in the Ferret tent, and then buy a replacement, they used to have all colours, and every one I bought worked, dont know if they still do it, as i think Lowther was on last year, anybody that was there, can you still buy and sell Ferrets?
