heres mine she,s 18 months old line bred collie grey x 3/4 bull grey she,s 22 1/2 tts. she,s mostly for lamping and ferreting but is no slouch daytime either

This is my two the light bitch is whippet xwhip/bed/collie now about 2 1/2 never sick or sorry works any ground . The black pup is 8mths whip/grey xcollie/deerhound/whip/grey coming on nicely with a good coat .

The smaller dogs are superb for rabbiting,being a bit quicker off the mark can make short work of things,also you see a lot of lads using them elsewhere.

Personally prefer a slightly larger dog, maybee 25" think they can cover the ground a bit better when hunting up all day.

some nice dogs and some well not to clever , to be a good rabit dog i think you need a bit more than just speed you need feet brain good coat , for allround weather etc,

ive got to agree with that. and the dogs that have the above atributes generally lack that extra gear. the best smaller lurchers ive seen usually have a dash of greyhound in thiere makeup. cs

Question is, what quarry other than rabbits could realistically be taken on her own

I wish mine had turned out bigger and faster but unfortunately you can't stretch them. He's quick off the mark but on our massive snooker table like fields he can get left for dust sometimes.

i dont have one but no a couple of lads that do. the are great little rabbiting dogs day and night also great to work with the ferrets. but
